Silver Golub & Teitell LLP has elected Jennifer Sclar and Johnathan Seredynski to its partnership, bringing to five the number of partners practicing in the litigation boutique’s growing Class Actions practice group. Ms. Sclar and Mr. Seredynski are based in the firm’s Stamford office.
“Jennifer and John are both accomplished lawyers who have demonstrated skill in their practice and dedication to our clients,” said partner Ian Sloss, who heads the Class Actions practice. “Their new position as partners gives our class actions team a significant boost,” he said.
Ms. Sclar represents individuals, unions and municipalities in litigation involving consumer fraud, data privacy, environmental contamination, securities fraud and health care. She is currently leading the firm’s class action on behalf of firefighters over PFAS contamination in turnout gear, the firm’s class action against Epic Games, Inc., for violating the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, and has primary responsibility for litigating the firm’s class action against Apple, Inc., for its unlawful collection of biometric information. Before joining SGT, she was involved in class action litigations that resulted in more than $1 billion of recoveries to banking customers, health insurance consumers, doctors and vendors in the food service industry. Each of those cases also resulted in significant corporate reform. Ms. Sclar is a graduate of Columbia Law School.
Mr. Seredynski has broad experience representing plaintiffs in complex litigation, including federal securities, commodities and antitrust class actions, shareholder, contract, and partnership disputes, consumer protection, environmental litigation, internal and government investigations and whistleblower actions that have resulted in billions of dollars of recoveries. He currently represents plaintiffs in the firm's cases related to securities fraud, price-fixing, PFAS contamination and consumer fraud. Mr. Seredynski serves as the secretary of the Connecticut Bar Association’s Antitrust Section. He graduated from New York Law School.
Silver Golub & Teitell’s Class Action group represents individuals, businesses, institutional investors, family offices, high net worth individuals, and governmental entities in all types of class action litigation at the trial and appellate levels, including complex antitrust, consumer protection, data privacy, ERISA, environmental, RICO, insurance, and securities and digital asset matters. The firm won a $145 million settlement on behalf of shareholders in Allianz Global Investors mutual funds, one of the largest securities-related class action settlements of 2023. It is also pursuing class actions involving baby food poisoned with heavy metals, children’s privacy online, cryptocurrency investments and PFAS contamination in Connecticut and Massachusetts.
