SGT Appointed To Lead Class Action Against Unilever Over Benzene in Dry Shampoo

The Connecticut Law Tribune reported on Silver Golub & Teitell's appointment as interim class counsel in an action against Unilever United States alleging high levels of the carcinogenic chemical benzene in dry shampoo products.

In his order, U.S. District Judge Michael P. Shea noted that Silver Golub & Teitell partners Steven L. Bloch and Ian W. Sloss accomplished significant work on the case before other actions were filed, basing their case on an independent investigation into Unilever's dry shampoo products "while other cases relied on public information after Unilever's dry shampoo recall," the publication reported.

The case, Elizabeth Little v. Unilever United States, was filed on September 21, 2022, in the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut.
