Marco A. Allocca, a partner at SGT, focuses his civil litigation practice in the areas of medical malpractice resulting in traumatic or catastrophic injuries, wrongful death, serious personal injury and sexual abuse/assault.
Marco understands that individuals seeking his counsel are oftentimes suffering from their injuries or grieving over the loss of a family member. He approaches each of his clients with sensitivity to each person’s particular situation. He listens to their concerns. Just as importantly, he listens to what they are unable to voice and addresses those issues as well. Marco is committed to treating all of his clients with dignity and respect as he helps guide them through the complex process of investigating and pursuing a claim.
In 2014, Marco joined Silver Golub & Teitell from another prestigious litigation firm. Since then, he has helped to secure more than $100 million in settlements and judgments on behalf of his clients. In recent years, Marco has negotiated numerous pre-trial settlements of medical malpractice lawsuits, including several multi-million dollar resolutions. Marco has served as appellate counsel in successfully upholding a $28.6 million jury verdict for the victim of a brutal physical assault; as co-counsel in a wrongful death matter involving a tractor trailer that settled for a total of $19.75 million after three weeks of trial and while the jury was deliberating; and as counsel in a motor vehicle wrongful death claim that settled for $5.4 million prior to trial. Marco is currently Class Counsel in a class action lawsuit against a local hospital relating to the alleged misuse of multi-dose insulin pens — a claim that affects thousands of patients. He has extensive experience representing individuals who have been harmed in motor vehicle collisions, including people who have suffered traumatic brain injuries and other serious injuries resulting from such collisions. In addition, Marco has represented victims of physical assaults, sexual abuse and sexual harassment.
